The final issue of The Optimist while I was Editor in Chief included a special section that examined the history of race relations on the campus of Abilene Christian University.
All of the artwork was produced by a close friend Alex York. The stories were written by staff members of The Optimist and students in Kenneth Pybus‘ reporting class.
This section won first place at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association in the Special Section category.
