Long March Home
While attending the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University I worked on Long March Home: an examination of veteran homelessness. My partner, photojournalist Charles Mostoller, and I spent more than six months interviewing experts, advocates, government employees and shadowing homeless Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.
We chose to tackle the complexity of our project’s topic by using a variety of mediums to tell our story. We used text, video, photos, interactive graphics and animation to tell the story of veteran homelessness in New York City and the country.
